I have always been creative from a very young age. From drawing on the walls with crayons as a toddler, to recreating band and musician’s logo’s on school books etc, or as posters for my bedroom wall. I very soon realised that I could copy things and create a totally new image made up with several different subjects rather than draw something completely new. I just loved to draw and doodle.
As the pandemic hit it took its toll on my photography business and it failed to recover after the numerous lockdowns. Like a phoenix from the fire, I decided to change my business model and concentrate on producing digital drawings/portraits and designs using my iPad Pro. I had briefly experimented with a drawing app called Inkpad and found it very successful in producing hand drawn digital artwork. I soon found that I could recreate images of photographic portraits. I loved that the finished image looked like a mixture of a caricature and a portrait.
